Rendering auto reflection maps with finalRender takes forever! What is wrong?

finalRender supports all standard 3ds max materials and methods. However, this does not mean that using old rendering technologies does make sense at all! Auto reflection mapping is such an old dinosaur form the old days were raytracing was not a choice. Nowadays this is no more needed as finalRender is such a fast raytracing system, it even outperforms the scanline rendering tricks of the past!

Do not use auto reflection maps with finalRender if you are after high image quality and fast renderings. Use raytracing instead, it is more accurate and much faster.
